Genuine Antique 1940s Roseville Pinecone Pottery Vase Roseville, Ohio
$350.00
This breathtaking piece of American Classic pottery was created under the direction of the notable master art designer, Frank Ferrell who oversaw the design lines of Roseville Pottery in Roseville, Ohio from 1918 until the doors closed in 1953. It remains mint today!
With its meticulous glazing, the blue primary color becomes both muted and vibrant at the same time.
Its delicate looking handles and demure height of 6 inches is deceiving and understates its superb intense feel, similar to that of an antique crock.
The simplistic pinecone design is a tribute to the beauty of nature in art. It was created for the lower-income and working-class Americans that found a passion for traveling the national park system in the post-depression era known as the Poverty Years from 1942-1956.
Although Roseville marks are inconsistent we can place this imprinted Roseville 906-6 somewhere between 1936 to 1953 heavily favoring the 1940s.
